Mezzotint is a form of intaglio printmaking. One starts with a plate that has been rocked (roughened to hold ink) and draws back in (or smoothes down) the high-lighted tones of your image. We will be demonstrating how to prepare (or rock) a copper plate, how to draw an image on to the plate, and how to print and edition your mezzotint.
